I am a big kid too and love playing with my grand children. They love to come. I love to hear them pray and I thank God for all four!

I appreciate the concept of you being a kid more than you know. Although I was born in 1958, I am emotionally 11. My own daughter figured this out and explained why she thinks this (after taking only a few psychology classes down in college – amazing, huh? LOL!). She would know, after all – she “grew up with me.” Like you with your daughter, I was my daughter’s friend, too, which was good, but sometimes (for my daughter), not so good (i.e., sometimes a kid needs a mom). Your spin on being “a kid” makes me feel a little bit better. I realize that is not what you are aiming for, but thank you and I’m going to tell my daughter about you too.
(I just thought of something … maybe it’s not a “spin” because I noticed that your husband supports your “kid-ness” – sweet!)
I think most adults still have a kid living inside them, though some to a greater degree than others. Mem Fox wrote a children’s picture book called Night Noises that gave me the idea for this blog. You should look for it in the library and read it. I try not to let the kid part be too obvious in my adult world, but I’m afraid it still slips out sometimes. 🙂
